Gabriel Batallones is a cinematographer, director, and storyteller working out of Siargao, Philippines.

He's had an eye for surf and storytelling since he first picked up a camera, and has spent nearly ten years making work for brands including Vans, Vissla, and Redbull. He runs media for World Surf League events across Southeast Asia, with a home base at the Philippine stops — Cloud 9 in Siargao and San Juan, La Union. Alongside his film work, he serves as Brand Director of SDMI Sports, a Philippine sports management company.

His conviction is simple: the filmmaker's task, as a storyteller, is to create positive and transformative social change. Outside of filmmaking, he surfs, and works on environmental and social causes.
